More Evidence of ACL Healing

I new paper from “Rockstar Researcher’ Stephanie Filbay and colleagues (2022) assessed the ACL healing Fromm the world renowned KANON trial and found ACL ruptures, with 58% of patients having a healed ACL at 5-year follow-up.

Various protocols to maximise ACL healing have been suggested, and this study does not progress the knowledge of the exact method to maximise ACL healing. Further research is due to be published later this year on a randomised control trial for an ACL healing protocol. While this does not mean an ACL always heals, or that surgery is never required, it has added more evidence to the now insurmountable proof that the ACL does have the ability to heal.
